Cody Jackson Named Mr. Pioneer 2011!

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- 

The 2^nd Annual Mr. Pioneer Contest was held Tuesday, October 11, 2011 in Camak Auditorium at SMC. 

Twelve SMC men competed for the title of Mr. Pioneer.  By the end of the night, sophomore Cody Jackson was crowned the winner.  Jackson was selected by his peers via mobile voting at the end of the competition. 

Contestants competed in four different categories:  Dress to Impress, Best Pick Up Line, Best Karaoke, and On-stage question.  The winner of Mr. Pioneer 2010, Jordan Manning, attended the event to assist in crowning Cody Jackson. 

The event was sponsored by the POPS Programming Board.  POPS created the event last year as a fun alternative for males to the more serious Miss SMC Pageant held each spring.
