SMC Ranked 4th in South Carolina for Campus Safety

Spartanburg, S.C. -- According to StateUniversity.com, Spartanburg Methodist College is ranked 4th in South Carolina for Campus Safety.

The annual rankings on the  are based on reported incidents of crime to campus safety officers. SMC also received national recognition on the site, landing in 32nd place nation-wide for campus safety. This  is significant jump from last year's national rank of 347.

Led by Chief Teresa Ferguson, the Campus Safety Department at SMC is an official police department. Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the Department handles all law enforcement on campus, including regular patrols, investigations, traffic enforcement, public assistance, and first aid.
