SMC Pioneers Headed to JUCO World Series!

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- SMC Baseball won the Region X Championship, the Eastern District Championship, and are now headed to Grand Junction, Colorado, to compete in the Junior College World Series.

The Eastern District Championship game was played Saturday, May 19th 2012, on SMC's Campus. SMC, ranked #3, played Hartford Community College, ranked #1. SMC won the game 8-1.

This will be Spartanburg Methodist College's fifth appearance at the JUCO World Series led by Coach Tim Wallace. They also made tournament appearances under former coach Lon Joyce.
