Marie Blair Burgess Library


The Marie Blair Burgess Library offers a comprehensive collection of resources for students, faculty, staff, and alumni to utilize, including computing resources with online access to various research tools.

The Library offers a collection of approximately 50,000 books in print, and a collection of over 50,000 Ebooks that are accessible via NetLibrary to complement the print collection.

InfoTrac Web for Periodicals and Newspapers and Collegiate Discus are online collections of databases indexing many thousands of full-text articles from various magazines, academic journals, and newspapers. In addition, the Library still subscribes to over fifty journals in print and has an archive of journals in bound format and on microfilm.

Students, faculty, and staff may also request materials from other libraries by using PASCAL, the consortium of academic libraries in South Carolina.

The Marie Blair Burgess Library is also home to the Mary Ellen Suitt Art Gallery. The art gallery features art by local artists, visiting artists, and student artists. Each exhibit ends with a presentation by the artist, or Mr. Briles Lever, Art Professor, in the case of student exhibits.
