My name is Kendra Burnette and I am a native of Spartanburg.  I graduated from Winthrop University with a B.S. in Special Education.  I have worked in various roles in the Financial Aid and Admissions Offices at SMC since 2004.  I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have one son. 

 

What is a piece of advice that you would give a new student coming to college?

Attend the college of your choice.  Only you can make the right decision for you.  Follow your own dreams and ambitions, not those of a friend or family member.

 

What is your favorite event or activity on campus at SMC?

Softball and basketball games

 

Where do you like to hang out off campus in Spartanburg?

I enjoy concerts at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium
