SMC will host a "Sushi and Sake Reception" for alumni and friends in Spartanburg, on Feb. 22, from 5:30 to 7 pm. The reception will be held prior to Japanese dancer Shizumi's performance at SMC.
SMC alumni and friends are invited to come to an Alumni Gathering at The Mellow Mushroom in Charleston on Jan. 21, 2011, from 6 to 8 pm.
The SMC Alumni Relations office will host a tailgating event for SMC alumni, parents, faculty and staff at the 2010 Clemson vs. USC football game, prior to the game, on Nov. 27 in Clemson.
The 2010 Homecoming at SMC will be a special one as it will be one of the first signature events tied in with the celebration of the College's Centennial Celebration.
SMC alumni, supporters, parents, faculty and staff are invited to attend an alumni event at the Rocky River Vineyards on Oct. 14.
SMC held campus party the evening of Sept. 9 to celebrate the inauguration of College President Dr. Colleen Keith, which was held the following day.
SMC students, alumni, staff and faculty are invited to come out to Spartanburg Methodist College night to watch the Greenville Drive take on the Asheville Tourists.
More than 50 people, including SMC alums, supporters, and representatives came out for a fun evening at Pour Richards, in Newberry, SC, on July 29, 2010.
More than 60 alums, parents, and friends of SMC came out for a great night on May 27, 2010 at Rusty Anchor Restaurant at Lighthouse Marina on Lake Murray, in Chapin, SC. Everyone had a great time catching up, talking about the great things happening at SMC, and enjoyed some music, dancing, and a low country boil.
An alumni reception was held April 29 at Ripley's aquarium, which drew a crowd of more than 40, including alums, donors, prospective SMC students, and parents, on April 29, 2010.
The 2010 Alumni Weekend was held March 26 and 27, 2010; and included a reception at SMC president Dr. Collen Keith's home, an awards luncheon, class reunions, and a reception at the BMW Zentrum in Greer.

The 2009 Alumni Weekend was held March 27th and 28th, 2009. More than 150 alumni came out for the event, which included a State of the College address by President Dr. Charles Teauge; a reception for retiring art instructor Ann Wenz; campus tours; an awards luncheon; class reunions; and a Gospel Choir reunion concert.
