Athletic Fundraising

Behind a good athletics program is an effective annual fund raising program, which must compete with the top programs in Region X and the nation. Continued financial support is needed from existing members, and new support is eagerly sought.

One of the key ways through which SMC is able to secure funds for student athlete scholarships is through The Pioneer Club. The Pioneer Club of Spartanburg Methodist College is a great way to stay connected and to support our athletic programs. On behalf of our more than 300 student athletes that participate in 14 competitive
and nationally prominent NJCAA Division I varsity sports, we would like to invite you to be part of the winning tradition at SMC. Membership in The Pioneer Club is open to anyone interested in support SMC athletics -- and we encourage our students and young alums, especially, to become involved in the Club as well.

Various sponsorships, the SMC Golf Classic (held bi-annually) and an athletic magazine are among the vehicles used to attain these financial goals for the Pioneer Athletics program as well.
