Orientation is required for all new, transfer, and re-admitted students.

Burgess Student Center
You must have your Clearance Card in order to pick up your room keys!  Call the Business Office at (864)587-4234 if you have questions.

*Student PACK Team Meetings/Family Orientation

(The SMC Pioneer Peers will lead you in sessions to help you become more acquainted to life on campus.)

7:30 pm - 8:00 pm
*Snack Attack
2nd floor of the Student Center

 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm
*Breaking the Ice
Fireplace Room of the Student Center - Attendance required 

9:00 pm
Break for the evening

The Business Office will be open from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm to handle any campus business.

 

Orientation Checklist:

  • Do you have a clearance card? Call the Business Office at 587-4234 if you have yet to receive one.
  • Have you signed your financial aid award letter?  Call the Financial Aid Office at 587-4298.
  • Do you have your room assignment if you are living on campus?  Call Residence Life at 587-4247.
  • Have you made your Orientation reservation?  Call the Student Activities Office at 587-4006.
  • Does the Admission's Office have your final transcripts?  Call Admissions at 587-4000.
