Campus Police Officers are responsible for implementing a community policing model that advances the core principles of Spartanburg Methodist College. Officers are required to work closely with individuals and groups within the College community to maintain an atmosphere that enhances the quality of campus life and reduces risks and vulnerabilities on the campus. Campus Police Officers must demonstrate excellent communication and decision-making skills as they patrol campus buildings, grounds and parking lots; respond to calls for service;
enforce College policies and state laws; and render services unrelated to enforcement.
