Campus Police Officers are responsible for implementing a community policing model that advances the core principles of Spartanburg Methodist College. Officers are required to work closely with individuals and groups within the College community to maintain an atmosphere that enhances the quality of campus life and reduces risks and vulnerabilities on the campus. Campus Police Officers must demonstrate excellent communication and decision-making skills as they patrol campus buildings, grounds and parking lots; respond to calls for service;
enforce College policies and state laws; and render services unrelated to enforcement.

Dean of Students

Spartanburg Methodist College (SMC), a private, two-year, residential, co-educational institution in the United Methodist Connection seeks an exceptional Student Development professional to serve as Dean of Students. The Dean of Students, who reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs,  is responsible for developing and overseeing programs that enable students to realize their full potential and for integrating student life experiences with the College’s educational mission.

Part-time Library Assistant

The Part-time Library Assistant provides support in all areas of library operations to provide excellent services to students and to all members of the college community. Duties include assisting the librarians in providing basic references services; ordering, cataloging and processing materials, circulation and all duties that will enhance library operations.  The Part-time Library Assistant normally works 18-20 hours per week between 8 a.m. an d 5 P.m.  Hours are based on the College academic calendar, holiday schedule and needs of the library.
