Mason Receives 2015 Charles Witten Service Award

On Monday, November 2nd, at the Fall Conference of the South Carolina College Personal Association (SCCPA), Stacey Mason, Director of Housing and Residential Life at Spartanburg Methodist College, received the 2015 Charles Witten Service Award.

The Charles Witten Service Award is given annually by the organization to represent a member who has served SCCPA within the past year in an outstanding capacity.  Mason served as host and conference chair of the organization’s drive-in conference in May of 2015 and served as the Awards Chair this year.

Kara Ferguson, SCCPA President Elect and Director of Service Learning and Community Engagement at University of South Carolina Upstate said, “Stacey has done an outstanding job as the 2015 Spring Conference Chair and the SCCPA Awards Chair. Stacey stepped into the spring conference chair position later in the game with little preparation done prior to her leadership and put together a high quality conference that touched on very important topics for Student Affairs professionals in South Carolina. Stacey is a rock star and a true asset to the SCCPA leadership.”
