About me:

I am originally from Hartsville, SC.  I am a graduate of The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina and a graduate of Belmont Abbey College.  I live in Boiling Springs with my wife, Colby and daughter, Edie.  We have a Yorkie, Piper.

I have worked in college admissions since 2006.  I was an Assistant Director of Admissions at Belmont Abbey College and an Admissions Counselor at Limestone College.   Each day I have the pleasure of positively affecting a student’s life. It is very rewarding to guide families from the recruitment process to the enrollment process. If you are reading this bio of me, you have already been compelled to learn about SMC. What is a piece of advice that you would give a new student coming to college?

You should treat your college studies like a full time job. Forty hours a week should be allotted to class and studying. Take advantage of the resources at your disposal. Build a relationship with your professors, visit the writing center and tutoring center. The remaining hours of the week, spend them how you like.

What is your favorite event or activity on campus at SMC?

Guest Fest, Campus wide cookout and celebrations.

Where do you like to hang out off campus in Spartanburg?

Downtown Spartanburg.  Music on Main.
