The award is presented to an outstanding faculty member at each of the twenty independent colleges and universities in the state of South Carolina. Mrs. Brackett will receive the award at an SCICU banquet on April 15.
“I am quite surprised and also very humbled by it because I teach with so many talented scholars. I’ve learned so much from my colleagues - I feel like they’ve been mentors to me. To receive this award is certainly an honor,” says Mrs. Brackett.
Each SCICU award recipient is chosen by their institution according to rigorous criteria. The most important characteristic of the nominees is their demonstration of the highest standards in teaching methods that encourages students to strive for excellence in their studies and pursuits.
