SMC Announces induction into Sigma Kappa Delta

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Sigma Kappa Delta National Honor Society at Spartanburg Methodist College inducted 17 students during a ceremony April 5, 2006 at Davis Mission Chapel. The students inducted were:

Jack Williams, Ph.D., Professor of English and Literature at SMC, is the faculty advisor.

Sigma Kappa Delta is the National English Honor Society for students in two-year colleges.  Its purposes are to recognize and reward outstanding achievement in English language and Literature; provide cultural stimulation, and promote interest in English on two-year college campuses and in the communities they serve; foster English in all its aspects, including creative and critical writing; promote good professional interaction among members; and exhibit high standards of academic achievement.
