Psi Beta Inducts New Members

Twenty - Five New Members into the Spartanburg Methodist College Chapter

 

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Spartanburg Methodist College Chapter of Psi Beta  inducted 25 students during a ceremony April 5, 2006 at Davis Mission Chapel. The students inducted were:

Pete Aylor is the faculty advisor. Aylor is a Professor of Psychology and director of the Counseling Center and Commuting Student Affairs at SMC.

Psi Beta, is the national honor society in psychology for community colleges.  As of June 30, 2002, Psi Beta had installed 169 charters and registered a cumulative total of 19,170 members. Membership is by invitation only. Each member must have established and overall minimum 3.0 GPA or greater, received a “B” or higher in their Psychology 101 course, and have completed 12 or more academic hours. The Psi Beta Chapter of the National Honor Society in Psychology at Spartanburg Methodist College is proud to induct these SMC students into its elite membership.
