SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Robert Waddell III of Matthews, N.C., signed a national letter of intent to compete on the Pioneers Wrestling team for 2006-2007.

Waddell wrestled at Butler High School under the leadership of coaches Mark Puckett and Billy Puckett. Head Wrestling Coach, Tony Catersano, said that Waddell was highly recommended by his high school coach as a hard worker and a tough wrestler. Robert is the son of Robert Waddell II and Karan Waddell.
