Isenhower Joins SMC Staff
as Coordinator of Assessment Activities and Academic Advisement

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Bob Isenhower has been named Coordinator of Assessment Activities and Academic Advisement at Spartanburg Methodist College.
Isenhower comes to SMC from Spartanburg Technical College, where he served in key positions until his retirement in 2005. At STC, Isenhower also served as a counselor, Student Activities Coordinator, Director of Adult Education, Director of Developmental Education, Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs, Acting Vice President of Academic Affairs and Vice President for Planning. He also was Counselor and Testing Coordinator at Catawba Valley Community College (when it was known as Catawba Valley Technical Institute) and was a guidance counselor at Northeastern High School in Elizabeth City, N.C.
Isenhower earned his B.A. Degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he also earned his M.Ed. in Guidance and Counseling. He also earned a M.Ed. Degree in Math Education from Converse College.
He resides in Spartanburg with his wife Lisa, who is Professor of English, Director of the Writing Center, and Director of Student Publications at SMC. They have two sons: Rob, 25, and Andrew, 21.
