Hall Signs with SMC Softball
Berea Athlete Signs Letter of Intent
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Kayla Hall of Berea High School has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete on the Lady Pioneers Softball Team for the 2006-2007 Season.
Head Softball Coach, Rick Pauly, is pleased about the signing of Hall, stating that she is both an outstanding softball player and a high academic student. Pauly is looking to add depth to his infield and likes the fact that Hall is a versatile player who plays a solid third-base and shortstop position, and also pitched for her high school team. Additionally, Kayla batted over .300 this season. She was a player on Coach Lee Murphy’s three time State Championship teams. Coach Murphy calls her one of the most dedicated student athletes she has coached.
SMC plays in the competitive Region X of the NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) with teams from across the Carolinas. Their upcoming competition also includes numerous games with area NCAA Divison I and II teams.
Hall is the daughter of Denise Hall of Greenville.
