SMC Paralegal Student Mayfield Receives $300 Scholarship
SPARTANBURG, SC – A student in the Spartanburg Methodist College Paralegal Certificate Program was recently awarded a $300 scholarship for continued education.
Award recipient Angela Mayfield, of Gaffney, SC, a student in the SMC paralegal certification program, submitted an essay which was selected by a sub-committee of the SMC Paralegal Advisory Board who oversaw the distribution of the scholarship funds.
The funding for the award was provided by the Spartanburg Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals.
“I am very honored to have been selected to receive the scholarship. I want to thank Spartanburg Methodist College and the Spartanburg Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals for making this scholarship available. It is very rewarding for your efforts to be recognized in this fashion,” says Mayfield.
Mayfield, 28, completed the last class of her Paralegal Certification in June. She will receive her certificate during the program’s October graduation ceremonies.
Mayfield is employed at the Saint-Amand, Thompson & Mathis Law Firm in Gaffney. She is married to Thomas Mayfield and has three children.
