SMC Cross Country Teams Ranked In NJCAA Top 20
Men’s Team Ranked 8th, Women’s Team Ranked 16th

SPARTANBURG –    The Spartanburg Methodist College men's and women's cross country teams both remain ranked in the Top 20 in the nation in the Week 2 rankings released by the National Junior College Athletic Association on Wednesday. 

The men's team -- led by sophomore Jeremy Vangsnes of Cowpens and Broome High School, the No. 14 ranked individual in the NJCAA -- moved up from 10th in Week 1 to 8th this week on the strength of its third-place performance at the 17-team Eye Opener Invitational held Saturday in Spartanburg. 

The women's team -- led by sophomore Becca Prichard of Clemson and Daniel High School, the No. 2 ranked individual in the NJCAA -- dropped two places from 14th to 16th this week.
