  • Government grants generated more than $1.3 million for the Student Support Services program on the SMC campus.

"I am very grateful for the outstanding work our Institutional Advancement staff accomplished over the last five years that led to the successful completion of the five-year Vision 2005 Total Funds Campaign,” commented SMC President, Dr. Charles P. Teague. Teague added that gifts generated through the Vision 2005 Campaign enabled the College to make  numerous improvements in existing facilities, to construct new facilities, and to make ongoing improvements to the programs and services of the College.  “We must keep in mind that everything we do is focused on supporting student learning at Spartanburg Methodist College.  We are grateful for the many gifts received from friends of the College who continue to support our work in higher education,” concluded Teague.

“As we plan for the future, the College’s Board of Trustees and Administration are involved in strategic planning discussions that will develop the next fundraising campaign,” said C. Sterling Case, Vice President for Institutional Advancement.
