SMC Crowns Homecoming King and Queen
SPARTANBURG -- Spartanburg Methodist College crowned its 2007 Homecoming king and queen recently during the College’s annual Family Day and Homecoming. Sophomore Abby Harper, of West Columbia, SC, was crowned homecoming queen. Harper is the daughter of Michael and Valerie Harper. Sophomore Joe Johnson, of Hopkins, SC, was crowned homecoming queen. Johnson is the son of of Joseph and Forstene Johnson. Other members of the homecoming court included: Terrilyn Brayboy, of Lake City, SC; Juliana Gomez, of Piedmont, SC; LaKeshia Jones, of Gadsden, SC; and Latisha Lee, of Columbia, SC; Jaroname Cockfield, of Olanta, SC; Derek Haile, of Columbia, SC; Devin Stewart, of Spartanburg; and Gabriel Washington, of Wando, SC. Spartanburg Methodist College is in its 96th year of providing a quality education to students in a Christian environment. More than 90 percent of SMC graduates continue their education at other institutions of higher learning.
