SMC Adds New Staff Member In IT Department
SPARTANBURG -- Spartanburg Methodist College is pleased to announce the recent hiring of a new staff member within its Information Technology department. 
Wayne Hindman has been hired as an Information Technology Specialist.
In this position, Hindman will be responsible for assisting faculty, staff and students with various information technology needs including service, installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting. He will also be responsible for helping oversee the campus help desk.
Hindman, 52, has an Associate’s Degree in Electronics Engineering from Greenville Technical College and is currently pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science from USC Upstate.
He most recently worked in the Information Technology Department at Christ Church Episcopal School.
“We’re very pleased to have Wayne as a part of our IT team and welcome him to SMC. His assistance will be critical to the continued success of our department and to our support of the faculty, staff, and students’ IT needs,” says Bill Roach, SMC’s Executive Director of Information Technology.
Hindman and his family live in Travelers Rest. He is married and has three children and two grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys camping, fishing, and going to the beach.
Spartanburg Methodist College is in its 96th year of providing a quality education to students in a Christian environment. More than 90 percent of SMC graduates continue their education at other institutions of higher learning.
