SMC Players' Fall Production Opens Nov. 2

Student Group to Present 'The Butler Did It, Again'

SPARTANBURG, S.C. –  The SMC Players will open their annual fall production on Nov. 2 to students and to the public on Nov. 3.

The student group will be presenting Tim Kelly’s ‘The Butler Did It, Again’ to the public on Nov. 3 4, at 7:30 p.m. in Camak Auditorium on the campus of Spartanburg Methodist College.

‘The Butler Did It, Again!’, is the sequel to the popular ‘The Butler Did It.’ The plot is a mystery/comedy/spoof focusing on publisher and socialite Miss Maple, who has rented a house in the swamplands of Lousiana in order to host a party introducing her latest literary discovery. However, during the course of the party, the owner of the house is found dead – killed by the scalpel once owned by Jack the Ripper.

The two-act production is being directed by adjunct faculty member Chris McKinney. This is the Spartanburg resident’s fifth production that he has directed at Spartanburg Methodist College.

Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for general admission.
