Staying Safe
Family Kickoff Event Nov. 13 at SMC
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Staying safe is the emphasis of a fun, informative event for the whole family Nov. 13 at Spartanburg Methodist College.
The event, organized by the Girl Scouts, will feature an afternoon of activities that include family fun, safe camping skills, crafts, snacks and games. Angela Hughes Singleton, Mrs. South Carolina, will give a presentation on the power of self-esteem. Imagine That!, an improvisational acting troupe, will present a Bullying and Partent/Teen Dialogue workshop for girls ages 11-17. Also, children can learn about self-protection.
Staying Safe will take place 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13 at Bridges Arena and the Davis Mission Chapel on the SMC campus. The event is free and open to the public. Bring the whole family and learn to “live happy while staying safe.”
