24 Graduate From SMC Paralegal Certificate Program

SPARTANBURG – Spartanburg Methodist College recently presented certificates to 24 graduates of the College’s Paralegal Certification Program.
The 2007 graduates include:
Hope Blackley, the South Carolina Crime Victims’ Ombudsman, served as the keynote speaker during the graduation ceremonies; Queen Mims served as the student speaker.
A total of 20 courses, with each course meeting 10 times, and a 40-hour internship are required for completion SMC’s Paralegal Certification Program. All legal specialty courses within the program are taught by local attorneys and/or paralegals. General education courses are taught by persons with advanced degrees.
Spartanburg Methodist College is in its 96th year of providing a quality education to students in a Christian environment. More than 90 percent of SMC graduates continue their education at other institutions of higher learning.
