Pendleton's Dobbins Signs With Lady Pioneers' Cross Country

Pendleton High School senior Melissa Dobbins is joined by her family, and cross country and track coaches as she signs a letter
of intent to run cross country at Spartanburg Methodist College.

PENDLETON, SC -- Pendleton High School senior Melissa Dobbins recently signed a letter of intent for a cross country athletic scholarship to attend Spartanburg Methodist College.
 
Dobbins is a three-time medalist in the 2006 and 2007 state Class AA track meets, which includes being part of Pendlton's 4x800 relay state championship team in 2006. Last fall, she was first team All-Region in cross country and first team at the Tri-County Championships. She was a four-time medalist -- in the 400 meters, 4x400 relay, 4x800 relay and high jump -- at the Region 1, Class AA track championships last spring.
 
She also holds Pendleton High School's high jump record.
