Orientation Staff

SMC's Student Ambassadors serve as Orientation Leaders.  Ambassadors are sophomores who represent the campus in a myriad of ways.  These students work closely with the Admissions Office, assisting with tours, mailings, phone-a-thons, and campus visits.  They also serve as peer leaders for the Freshman Year Experience courses to help ensure a smooth and easy transition for new students. 

Ambassadors are hand selected and must be involved in at least one campus organization or activity, although most of them are involved in many.  We have Ambassadors who are athletes, leaders in SGA, leaders in campus religious organizations, members of our music groups, and more.  Some Ambassadors live on campus and some commute from their homes in the Spartanburg area.
