19 Graduate from SMC Paralegal Program

SPARTANBURG, SC – Nineteen students recently graduated from Spartanburg Methodist College’s Paralegal Certificate Program.

Those graduating include:

South Carolina House District 36 representative-elect Rita Allison, director of communications for the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education, served as the keynote speaker at the graduation ceremonies. 

Class representative Jalitha Moore served as the student speaker. 

A total of 20 courses, with each course meeting 10 times, and a 40-hour internship are required for completion of SMC’s Paralegal Certification Program. All legal specialty courses within the program are taught by local judges, attorneys and/or paralegals.  

Courses can be audited by the general public for $125 per course.  An application to enroll in the Paralegal Certification Program, along with registration forms, can be found online by going to the Paralegal Program page at www.smcsc.edu. 

Spartanburg Methodist College is in its 98th year of providing quality education to students in a Christian environment.  More than 90 percent of SMC graduates continue their education at other institutions of higher learning.
