Byrnes’ Nutt Signs With SMC Tennis

SPARTANBURG, SC – A Byrnes High School senior recently signed to play next year for the Spartanburg Methodist College Lady Pioneers’ tennis team.
Courtney Nutt has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for SMC in the 2008-2009 season.
Nutt is a two-time All Region member and six-year letterman from James F. Byrnes High School. She has played varsity tennis since the seventh grade.
She is the daughter of Bryan and Karen Nutt of Moore, SC.
“Courtney will be a wonderful asset for SMC both on and off the court. She is a very talented young lady who will bring a lot of skill and energy to the Lady Pioneers’ tennis team,” says SMC tennis coach Jim Greene.
Spartanburg Methodist College has 14 intercollegiate teams that compete in Region X of the National Junior College Athletic Association, which includes colleges in the Carolinas, Virginia, and West Virginia.
The College is in its 97th year of providing a quality education to students in a Christian environment. More than 90 percent of SMC graduates continue their education at other institutions of higher learning.
