Kyle Owings
Women's Golf Coach

Kyle Owings is starting his first year as head coach of the Lady Pioneers golf team at Spartanburg Methodist College in the 2007 – 2008 season.

Owings, 24, is a Spartanburg County native who graduated from Dorman High School in 2000 and Anderson University in 2004, with a degree in Business Management. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Education at Converse College.

Owings currently works full-time as a career counselor at Dorman High School. He also assists the Dorman High School golf teams as a swing instructor.

Golf is something that Owings fell in love with at an early age. At age eight, he began playing golf with his younger brother. While a member of the Anderson University golf team, he was named four-time MVP, four-time All Conference, and a 2003 Ping All-American. He has also played 1 ½ years of professional golf on the Southeastern Tour.

In his spare time, Owings is a part-time golf instructor and has a diverse group of students. He also enjoys fishing and is in the Philadelphia Baptist Church choir. He is also a youth choir director at his church.

Brad Kelly
Assistant Women's Golf Coach

Brad Kelly has been around golf his entire life, having played at Byrnes High School and at Spartanburg Methodist College. Brad is a member of Three Pines Country Club and plays in many local amateur events. He resides in Spartanburg.
