Dual Enrollment

Dual Enrollment applicants are high school or home school students who want to take college-level courses at SMC.

Dual Enrollment Requirements:

To qualify for the Dual Enrollment program offered by Spartanburg Methodist College, you’ll need to meet the following requirements:

  • Be a high school junior or senior and at least 16 years old
  • Be enrolled in college preparatory coursework
  • Have a 3.0 GPA or higher on the Uniform Grading Scale
  • Course selection must be approved by the Registrar
  • You may enroll in no more than a total of 8 SMC classes and no more than 2 SMC classes per semester
  • You must maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher during each semester to be approved for the subsequent semester
  • SMC must receive the student’s final, official high school transcript with proof of graduation before SMC credit will be validated and released to any college or university

    • Send Your Transcript

      Ask your high school Guidance Counselor to send your current transcript to our Admissions Office.

    • Complete and Return the Dual Enrollment Registration Form

      For students who are homeschooled, only Parent/Guardian permission is necessary. GO TO DUAL ENROLLMENT REGISTRATION FORM.
