About me: Hey y’all! My name is Naomi Israel and I’m so excited to serve as your Admissions Counselor at SMC! My college journey began at a Community College in Asheville, NC (my hometown). I eventually transferred to UNC Charlotte where I majored in Political Science and Communication Studies with a concentration in Public Advocacy. While I was at UNC Charlotte, I became very involved with my business fraternity, professional development opportunities, and several on-campus internships. After graduation I worked in the Furman College Advising Corps assisting high school students with finding opportunities after graduation. It was at this time that I fell in love with working on a campus, and working with students going through the college search process – like you! I am passionate about seeing students grow personally and professionally in a place that is a great financial and academic match.
