SUMMARY:Southern Black  Women’s Influence Student Showcase
DESCRIPTION:The SMC community invites you out to view a student and scholar artistic collaboration on the influence of black female artists in the South. \nWe are inviting the campus and the public to view our students’ projects in conjunction with the Chapman Cultural Center’s Southern Studies Fellows Desiree Evans and Sarah Nixon. The event is Monday February 20th from 3:30-5pm in the Ellis Hall Gallery. There will be light refreshments a brief word from the Southern Studies Fellows and a small showcase of works produced by 3 of our students whom have created trilogy pieces in honor of 3 black southern female visual artists.
