Director of Professional Development, Internships and Employer Relations

Job Summary:

The Director of Professional Development works collaboratively with the Professional Development team and all members of the Spartanburg Methodist College community to provide a dynamic and comprehensive program to assist students in discovering, experiencing, and preparing for their career path. Predominately working with juniors and seniors in the new Bachelor’s degree, the Director is specifically responsible for internship programs, employer relations, and graduate employment rate.  While operating as a staff member, the Director will also have faculty status responsible for developing and teaching related courses in the Professional Development concentration.

Spartanburg Methodist College, founded in 1911, is a private residential liberal arts institution serving a diverse student population (38% first generation, 50% minority, 59% Pell) within the United Methodist Connection.
