Professor of Psychology

The Psychology Department at Spartanburg Methodist College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track instructor. The candidates are expected to contribute broadly to the department by teaching courses in the General Education curriculum, as well as develop upper-level courses in their area of specialization. The successful candidate should have expertise and interest in innovative pedagogies, demonstrate a record of teaching excellence, and show potential or demonstrate ability for research and scholarship, and other endeavors that enhance student learning and experiences.

The College prefers candidates with a terminal degree in the field to be taught (usually the doctorate). The master’s degree in the field to be taught is required. A master’s degree with eighteen (18) graduate hours in the field may be considered. All degrees must have been earned at a regionally accredited institution of higher learning. Applications from candidates who are credentialed in more than one area are encouraged.
