Start Here. Go Anywhere.

An Associate Degree at SMC gives you options. Courses are designed to easily transfer to a variety of colleges. Or, like many students, you may find you need to work to earn additional tuition income. With your Associate Degree in hand, you’ll be eligible for better-paying jobs.

Spartanburg Methodist College is designed to build a strong academic foundation. For your continued success, we’re proud to offer a variety of connection programs with four-year institutions across the southeast. Currently, we’re engaged in the following agreements:

Articulation Agreements

SMC maintains hundreds of informal arrangements with other colleges around the country to accept course credits in transfer toward a specific academic program.

Bridge Programs

Bridge Programs are agreements between SMC and other colleges to recognize the work done by SMC students and to smooth the path to obtaining a four-year agree. SMC students hoping to transfer to another college via a Bridge program must still meet all of the requirements for admission to the four-year institution.

SMC maintains Bridge Programs with the following institutions:

College of Charleston
Converse College
Presbyterian College
Wofford College

For more information about these programs, please contact the Registrar.

Direct Connect
