Sigma Kappa Delta

Sigma Kappa Delta

Sigma Kappa Delta was formed in 1996 under the auspices of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society serving four-year institutions. Its central purpose is to confer distinction upon outstanding students of the English language and literature in undergraduate studies. To become a member of Sigma Kappa Delta, students must have an overall GPA of 3.3 and maintain a B average in at least one college course in English and Literature.

Spartanburg Methodist College’s chapter of Sigma Kappa Delta sponsors a variety of events and activities ranging from community service projects that seek to improve childhood literacy to hosting talks on campus given by local poets and fiction writers.
