The Trailblazer, SMC’s student newspaper, is published six times per year and covers matters of interest to SMC’s students, faculty and staff as well as the community at large.

Students may register for ENGL 211-214 to receive one hour of college credit or independently contribute articles for editorial review and possible publication. The one-hour course covers the basics of news, feature and editorial writing as well as newspaper layout and publishing.
