Online Payment – SMC now offers online payment/payment plans through your student portal.

TO VIEW OR PAY YOUR BILL

Students may view and pay their bills online themselves or authorize someone – usually a parent or other family member – to pay for them.

Students:  Access your Student Account and make a payment on your bill by:

1. Sign into Self Service at https://smcsc-ss.colleague.elluciancloud.com/
2. Log in using your SMC username and password. If you are having issues logging in, please email support@smcsc.edu.
3. Select “Student Finance”.
4. Your first visit to this page will present you with a Financial Responsibility Agreement.  You are agreeing to pay your bill with Spartanburg Methodist College. Select “Agree”.
5. Select “Make a Payment” and “Continue to Payment Center”.
6. Select “Make a Payment”. Select “Current” for the current term or “Pay by Term” for other than the current term.
7. Enter the amount you would like to pay. Select “Continue”.
8. Enter payment information.
9. Agree to payment conditions. Select “Continue”.
10. Submit payment and view receipt.
11. To see previous receipts, go to “My Account” and “Payment History”.

SET UP AN AUTHORIZED USER

Students can designate an authorized user (parent, relative, guardian, etc.), who can view their account and make payments on their behalf via their student portal.  If a student designates an authorized user, the user will receive emails notifying him or her that new statements are available for viewing.

1. Sign into Self Service at https://smcsc-ss.colleague.elluciancloud.com/.  Under “My Profile Setup” select “Authorized Users”.
2. Select “Add Authorized User”. Provide the email address for your authorized user(s) and choose their level of access.
3. Authorized Users will receive and email notification confirming their authorization and instructions on next steps.

PAYMENT PLAN

• You must sign up for a new payment plan each semester. Plans will not roll from semester to semester.
• Your account balance will be divided into monthly installment payments for the term. Credit cards or debit cards may be used. Other payment methods include electronic checks from checking/savings accounts.
• Plan Payments for the Fall will post on the 20^th of the month.
• Payment plans are subject to recalculation if any changes are made to your student account.  For example, if you lose a financial aid award and/or an additional charge is placed on your account, your future payments will automatically be adjusted to include the increased balance.  The same holds true for the opposite – that is, if your financial aid awards are increased or there has been a reduction of charges, your future payment plan amounts will reduce accordingly.

DATES AND DEADLINES FOR SPRING 2024 SEMESTER PAYMENT PLAN

TO ENROLL: There is a $25 enrollment fee due initially upon enrolling in a payment plan.

1. Sign into Self Service at https://smcsc-ss.colleague.elluciancloud.com/.
2. Log in using your SMC username and password. If you are having issues logging in, please email support@smcsc.edu.
3. Select “Student Finance”.
4. Select “Make a Payment” and “Continue to Payment Center”.
5. Select “Enroll in Payment Plan”.
6. Select Term “Spring 2024” and click “Select”.
7. Scroll down and click “Continue”.
8. Select Method – Credit Card (credit or debit card) or Other Payment Methods (electronic check from checking/savings).
9. Enter card or checking account information and select “Continue”.
10. Agree to terms and conditions and select “Continue”.
11. Plan details will be listed on the Home screen.
