About me: Hi! I’m Catherine Gramling.

Q: Why did you choose to be a Trustee for SMC, and what is your connection to SMC?

A: I am passionate about education and young people. The mission of the college was something that attracted me and I wanted to support the college. I grew up in a family that supported SMC (my grandfather graduated from SMC, my brother attended the college, and my mother served on the Board and taught at the college).

Q: What do you like most about being an SMC Trustee? 

A: Being able to support the college that values their students and their success (academically, socially, emotionally, and professionally).

Q: In your own words, what is SMC's mission and purpose? 

A: To support students as they grow in their academic endeavors, provide a welcoming campus for all students to learn, and to make educated and productive citizens of all students.

Q: What do you like to do for fun? 

A: I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, reading, and watching sports (high school and collegiate).
