Q: Why did you choose to be a Trustee for SMC, and what is your connection to SMC?  

A: As a United Methodist minister, I have been aware of SMC's unique history and mission. When asked to serve it was easy to say yes because of the connection with our denomination.

Q: What do you like most about being an SMC Trustee? 

A: As a trustee, I most enjoy opportunities to meet students, faculty, and staff. Attending events and classes has become a highlight of the Board meetings. 

Q: In your own words, what is SMC's mission and purpose? 

A: SMC offers a quality education, opportunities for spiritual formation, and support for students making the transition to young adulthood.

Q: What do you like to do for fun? 

A: I like to read, play with my grandchildren, and walk on the beach.
