On Wednesday, February 17, from 11am- 12:30PM you can stop by the table on the Student Center porch to receive the sign of the cross in ashes.
Due to COVID considerations, we will be taking additional precautions this year. You will receive the ashes on your hand only, and I will use a new cotton swab each time.
Ash Wednesday is the beginning of the season of Lent – the 40 day season of preparation for Easter – in Christian tradition. The sign of the cross is given in ashes to remind us that we were created by God from the dust of the earth, and that someday we will return to dust.
