An adaption of this musical was made into the1986 movie of the same name, starring Rick Moranis, Ellen Green and Steve Martin, Little Shop features beloved songs including “Suddenly Seymour,” “Somewhere that’s Green,” and “Dentist.” This was the first big hit by the writing pair Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, who went on to create some of Disney’s biggest hits including The Little Mermaid, Aladin, and Beauty and the Beast.
