Spartanburg Methodist will host former ESPN host and current host of Sports Spectrum podcast, Jason Romano, for a talk on his media career and the impact his faith has on his life. The event will be held in Davis Mission Chapel at 11 a.m., March 21. It is free, open to the public and presented in a nondenominational context. “I have invited Jason to campus because of his inspiring message of forgiveness,” says Tim Drum, SMC chaplain and coordinator for the event. “Jason will speak about the difficult road he has traveled from anger, bitterness, and resentment to forgiveness for his father. Each of us has people who have hurt us, and we can all benefit from his honesty and strength in sharing his story.”

Romano is a popular public speaking, holding engagements at churches, colleges and conferences all over the country. In 2018, Romano published his first book, “Live to Forgive,” an inspiration Christian book about the importance of forgiveness.
