Important Break Info for the Fall 21 Semester
Thanksgiving Break Information
- All residents must be out of their rooms and out of the residence hall no later than 5:00pm on Tuesday, November 23. Residence Halls will close for Thanksgiving at this time.
- All residents must complete a checklist to make sure they have completed everything and turn it into your CA BEFORE leaving.
- Community Life Staff will be inspecting every room after the building is closed and will verify that the items on the checklist have been completed.
- Community Life Staff will report any policy violations that are seen from the student handbook (including Pets, Candles, Alcohol, etc.).
- Please complete all of the following items BEFORE leaving for break:
- Clean out all perishable items from refrigerators.
- Unplug all non-essential electrical cords and appliances. Fridges can stay plugged in, but you need to clean out any perishable food items.
- Remove all open or perishable foods within room.
- Close and lock any window in room.
- Close blinds in room.
- Empty all trash from room.
- Turn lights off before leaving.
- Lock door.
- Turn in your checklist to Community Assistant.
- Residence Halls will reopen on Sunday, November 28th at 12:00pm.
Winter Break Information
- For the end of the Fall 21 semester, all residents must be out of their rooms and out of the residence hall no later than 5:00pm on Wednesday, December 8th. Residence Halls will close for Winter at this time. There will be no exceptions of staying within the Residence Halls during this time.
- All residents must complete a checklist to make sure they have completed everything and turn it into your CA BEFORE leaving.
- Community Life Staff will be inspecting every room after the building is closed and will verify that the items on the checklist have been completed.
- Community Life Staff will report any policy violations that are seen from the student handbook (including Pets, Candles, Alcohol, etc.).
- Please complete all of the following items below BEFORE leaving for break:

- If you are not returning for the Spring 2022 semester, clean your room and take ALL belongings with you before the break.
- Residence Halls will reopen for the Spring 2022 semester on Monday, January 10th at 12:00pm.
- First day of class for the Spring 2022 semester is Wednesday, January 12th.
