GET EMERGENCY ALERTS & UPDATES

Spartanburg Methodist College uses an emergency alert system, powered by Cellular911, to notify users in a timely manner of emergencies and weather-related closings and delays – via text, email, and phone calls.

Each SMC-issued student, faculty and staff email address is automatically enrolled in the system. 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

• - You must add or update your mobile number to receive text/phone call alerts.
• - You may add up to two phone numbers where you wish to receive alerts. The phones do not have to be mobile phones, but you MUST label them as "mobile" in Self Service to receive emergency texts or phone calls. The system will not attempt to text or call a number that is not listed as "mobile." (Click the button above to go to the Self-Service instructions).
• - All students, faculty, and staff will automatically receive email notifications via their SMC-provided email address. You do not need to sign up for email alerts.
