Teaching with AI: A Practical Guide to a New Era of Human Learning
by J.A. Bowen and C.E. Watson (2024). John Hopkins University Press.
After explaining how AI works, the impact it has on the workplace, and the ways in which it can boost human creativity, the authors delve into how AI can be used in the classroom and provide specific AI-based assignment prompts that can be adapted to a variety of disciplines. They examine how students may use AI unethically and how it can be detected by instructors, as well as how instructors can adapt and modify what they assess. Finally, the authors look at how it can be used to aid student learning and aid faculty in their day-to-day tasks.
